NIMBY submitted a permit application to the City of Oakland to have our next fund-raiser / art opening / special event on October 17th from 4 pm until…….
More details about the event and art to be showcased to follow.  NIMBY will be hosting a traditional style spaghetti feed fundraiser.  Plan to come early to be fed.

As most of the community is well aware we have been working very hard to be the first fully legal art space of our size that we know of.  We have encountered many obstacles along the way and the process has been far more costly and time consuming than we ever anticipated.  Many of the details of this endeavor have been kept under our hat as we continually hope to foster good relations with the political powers that be – and we thank you all for your never ending patience and support.

Despite all of the obstacles we have faced, we are continuing to make forward progress every day.  Our current challenge is to provide the City of Oakland Building Department with engineering specs on all of the shipping containers used for storage and temporary workspace inside of our warehouse.  We have a great engineering firm on board that is excited about the project – but we again need to raise funds to meet this challenge.
