NIMBY needs your help!

NIMBY

We are almost there.

NIMBY is moving - WE FOUND THE SWEET SPOT and now our big push is to secure the security deposit.  If you have been waiting for a plan to click that DONATE button, well then, your time has come and, just like your vote, it really counts!

Once our new place is secured, there is funding from the City of Oakland available to help with the build-out of NIMBY 2.0.  But, we can’t get the new space without the community behind us. The money has to come from family first.

We need at least 500 more people to donate $50.

Are you NIMBY family? Show us your support and join the ranks of hundred who have already thrown their hard earned cash in the hat to see us through this transition.  Be sure to check out the photos of our new spot!

Please Donate… There is no better time than NOW!

Introducing NIMBY 2.0

We are pleased to present the first images of NIMBY’s new home.  With over 30,000 square feet of indoor shop space and two outside yards totaling more than 33,000 square feet - we are very excited about our very large new building.  One yard will be primarily for off street parking while the other will be used as an open space and gallery. Our expected move in date is in early December.  We are signing a 10 year lease - so there will be no more moving anytime soon. The building is in great shape and already has a working and certified sprinkler system and a ton of power.  We could not have found a nicer land lord or a better location.

The hard work is not over yet. Old NIMBY is still being prepared for the move. We have to raise enough money to make the new space happen. If you have not donated yet - click the button below. Every penny gets us closer to NIMBY 2.0. NIMBY would not have gotten this far without everyone’s support. Help us see this through.

You can also support NIMBY by volunteering time to pack up Old NIMBY. We are now showing our plans for the new space to the City of Oakland. If you will be with us in the new space make sure you contact Snook (snook@nimbyspace.org) regarding your needs. We are looking for additional support from architects and engineers. To help out contact Rachael (rachael@nimbyspace.org).
